Comprehensive consultation delivers new product ideas

IBU-tec has several years of experience in development and generation of inorganic base materials using thermal processes at temperatures in the range 200 to 1,500 °C. The end products that can be obtained as monomineral products or as a mixture of phases are first assigned to chemical base materials and products of the non-metallic mineral industry.

They find application preferably in oxidic materials, catalysts, pigments, fillers, coating materials, ceramic products, hydraulically cured construction materials, porous and inflated lightweight aggregates.

Alternatively, the reaction takes place as

  • Dehydroxilation,
  • Calcinations,
  • Sintering,
  • Phase transformation,
  • Synthesis

until it reaches the high temperature range.

The new product generation includes the utilisation of industrial wastes as secondary raw material or recycling product. The comprehensive set of devices and equipment available at IBU-tec along with the know-how of its employees allows targeted development programs that include

  • working out a theoretical plan of the processing steps and determining the required product parameters,
  • conducting a series of trials on laboratory-scale with evidence of reaction engineering and product quality,
  • working out a scale-up for the process control under semi-industrial conditions
  • reproducing the laboratory results in reactions and plants at pilot-plant-scale and on industrial scale.
