Green-Tech designs our future

The world faces major ecological and socio-political challenges and their effects will have to be faced increasingly rapidly as a result of globalisation. The worldwide competition for prosperity, jobs and even ecological resources continues to rise.

Catalytic processes for water pollution control

One of the major challenges that we face in this century is the availability of clean and hygienic water. The technology used for desalination of seawater by vaporisation will be replaced by catalytic procedures and the so called nanofilters. In addition to this, IBU-tec offers various filter granulates and powder products used for filtration or precipitation of hazardous substances in industrial and municipal sewage treatment.

Catalysts for resource conservation and air pollution control

In many processes the use of selective and active catalysts can save energy and reduce the quantity of by-products released. Treatment of exhaust gases generated in industrial production or in electrical power stations is no less significant for our environment. Unavoidable hazardous outputs can be transformed into substances that are less hazardous by applying catalytic processes to exhaust gases.

IBU-tec produces key components used in the manufacture of exhaust gas purification systems for industrial production processes and for automobiles. In addition IBU-tec is working on production of powders functionalised by nanotechnology to decompose air pollutants and reduce smoke in cities.

Energy conservation using modern products

Inefficient energy consumption by industries and private households adds to the environmental pollution and wastes invaluable resources. Innovative products such as energy-saving lamps or non-dissipative energy conductors are already gaining acceptance in a big way.

IBU-tec offers intermediate products for modern and efficient light-emitting diodes. Due to their higher efficiency and longer service life these are likely to supersede traditional light sources in the near future. Our product portfolio also includes powder ingredients for the manufacture of high temperature superconductors.

Resource conservation using fuel cells

Separating membranes and optimised ionic conductors are indispensable components in the manufacture of fuel cells. These fuel cells are an ecologically useful alternative for the fossil fuels that have been used so far in the automobile industry and also in heating and power generation technology. IBU-tec develops and produces high quality pulverized intermediate products for application in these fuel cells.
