Nanopowders are found essentially agglomerated due to their high specific surface. However, their special qualities in applications are only released with the maximum possible disagglomeration. We accomplish this by producing stable nanosuspensions with our nanopowders.

With IBU-tec´s suspensions you as customers are able to easily inject nanoscaled additives into their applications without altering the production process. The nano effect of our products allows you to obtain special product properties or unusual product performance.

Intermediate products easy to handle

Above all, nanosuspensions are used as intermediary products in fluid applications. The nanoparticle agglomeration (clumping) is destroyed by means of the mechanical shear forces induced when producing the suspension, whereby simultaneously the nanoparticle surface is modified by a stabilisation additive to prevent re-agglomeration. our customised nanosuspensions, for example, make paint layers more scratchproof, or transparent paint coatings are furnished with UV protection. The type of dispersion agent or additive depends on the respective customer application. Thus, we offer solutions for hydraulic or organic systems.

Example: zinc oxide suspension

IBU-tec has developed nanosuspensions based on ZnO to protect against aggressive UV radiation. The input material is our ZincoxTM, a nanoscale zinc oxide (ZnO) that provides reliable long-term protection against UV radiation in combination with a very high degree of transparency in the visible light spectrum. The especially high transparency of our ZnO suspensions derives from our ability to almost fully disagglomerate and stabilise nanoscale Zno particles. The Zno suspensions are adapted to the customer’s specific application. for example, we offer suspensions for hydraulic or various organic systems in a variety of particle concentrations.
